This is a 925 Silver Natural Chiapas Amber Pendant from Taxco Mexico. I bought it on a recent trip there. This piece of Amber is truly special. There a an insect ( I believe to be a roach but am not sure, some legs can be seen at close inspection and the outline of the body but the insect is fairly degenerated ). It is quite a rare find. The Amber was well set in Taxco and I got it on a recent trip there. In the whole 3 weeks I was there in viewing thousands of pieces of amber jewelry I only came across a few that had insects in them. I will include a nice hand woven cord with the pendant so it can be worn right away. Stamped 925.
