This is a gorgeous 925 silver Phurpa Viswa Vajra Kartika pendant necklace from Thailand. I will include a nice hand woven cord from Nepal with it so it can be worn right away.
The Vajra originated in the area of Nepal and Tibet where it is believed to bring good luck and protection to its owner. The Vajra is known as the thunderbolt which cannot be cut, cannot be destroyed, but destroys all evil. When two thunderbolts are crossed it is called a Viswa Vajra. It is the emblem of Amoghisiddhi. In buddhist Tantra it designates Sunya or Void which cannot be cut, cannot be destroyed, but destroys all evil.
The Phurba is known as a magical dark to keep your foes at bay and also to ward off evil and to dispel negative energy. The Kartika is a hatchet or axe that in Buddhism symbolizes the freeing of attachment to the material world. It is a weapon of the wrathful gods Mahakala and Dakini whom are protectors of the Buddhist practitioner that aid them in rising above the mundane and worldly affairs. The possession of an object with these powerful symbols is thought to be good luck and protect one from harm and evil influences.
