Mixed Gold Small Jambhala Thangka Thanka painting Nepal Himalayan art

Description

This is a lovely original Jambhala Deity Thangka painting from Nepal. Jamhala is known in Buddhism to be be the god of wealth. The view of the god of wealth comes not from a standpoint of greed but rather in compassion for enabling one to prosper for the sake of helping others more freely by not being fettered in ones own poverty. The mongoose held in Jambhala's left hand spits out jewels to its lucky recipient.

The painting has an accent of 10 to 14 K mixed gold paint and has nice detail. The edges of the canvas were hand cut and could be completely straightened if one were to use a paper cutter if desired however it is quite acceptable.

No real noticeable flaws.

Size: 10.1” tall and 10.1" wide ( 25.6 cm tall and 25.6 cm wide ) including border
